Every Drag & Fly tour is hosted live by a professional drag queen, not a recording and not a guide with a clipboard. Meet Anita Doll, Danity Zann and Rosemary Galore: three award-winning performers who turn a Palm Springs sightseeing tour into a rolling theater. Between them they have headlined casino showrooms, hosted the valley's biggest drag brunches and won pageant crowns. Our founder, Anita Doll, spent a first career as a CNN entertainment journalist, where her work earned multiple Peabody Awards and a duPont–Columbia Award.

Before she was the “Queen of the Desert” on wheels, Anita Doll was JD Cargill, an over-achieving CNN entertainment journalist with multiple Peabody Awards to her name, who traded the red carpet for a rolling theater. After years of interviewing A-listers and racking up a duPont–Columbia Award, JD realized the most important story to tell was one of self-love, high heels, and a heavy dose of hairspray.
As the mastermind behind Drag & Fly Tours and the visionary of The Doll House storefront, Anita has successfully merged “Media Innovator” with “International Dragapreneur.” She is not just showing you mid-century architecture; she is delivering a five-star, mobile masterclass in queer visibility. Whether she is producing hit podcast series like Gals, Gays, and They's or commanding a custom-built mobile stage, Anita proves that when you embrace your truth, you don't just walk — you fly.

Though she stepped into the drag world in 2017, Danity Zann has been captivating audiences since her first theatrical role at age six. Bitten early by the entertainment bug (don't worry, there's a pill for that), she has since appeared in over 100 stage productions, plus film, music video, and web series. Danity's mission is simple: make them laugh, and make them think.
Her love of performance, and of the art of drag, drives every moment she is on stage. And about those crowns? In 2019 she won the 14-week West Hollywood competition Dragged Out, and most recently took the title at Vanity's Drag Star Challenge All-Stars at One Eleven Bar, right here in the desert.

If Palm Springs had a Patron Saint of Precision, her name would be Rosemary Galore. A former Royal Caribbean star and award-winning choreographer, Rosemary brings “professionalism” to the party with every perfectly timed hair flip. Named Diva of the Year by GED Magazine, she is the sharp-witted anchor of the valley's most sensational drag experiences.
From hosting the legendary I Heart Drag Brunch to producing history-making shows at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, Rosemary's resume is as long as her legs. She has been featured in National Geographic and Palm Springs Life, proving that her blend of Old Hollywood storytelling and modern-day moxie is a literal work of art. In the world of Drag & Fly, Rosemary is the polish, the poise, and the undisputed “Galore” in every tour.
Ninety to a hundred minutes on a custom-built mobile stage, with a live drag queen putting on a show the whole way. You will roll past sights such as Frank Sinatra's estate and Elvis' honeymoon hideaway, plus the mid-century landmarks, celebrity hideouts and neighborhood corners that made this town famous, picking up the history, the gossip and the commentary no audio guide is ever going to give you.
It is a small group by design, so nobody is shouting over a crowd and everybody gets to be part of the show. Tours depart from 267 E Tahquitz Canyon Way in downtown Palm Springs. Check the booking page for this week's departure times.
