Meet Anita Doll™, Rosemary Galore and Danity Zann, three award-winning performers who bring the city’s history, stories and spirit to life.
Dubbed “Her Majesty of History” by Men’s Health, Anita Doll™ is the drag alter ego of JD Cargill, an award-winning former CNN entertainment journalist who spent years interviewing A-listers and telling stories from the red carpet. His work earned multiple Peabody Awards and a duPont–Columbia Award before he traded the newsroom for high heels, big hair and a very different kind of storytelling.
When JD moved to Palm Springs, he found a city where he felt a profound sense of belonging and the freedom to be exactly who he was. That experience, combined with his love of storytelling, history and the joyful power of drag, inspired Drag & Fly Tours.
Today, Anita shares that connection through Drag & Fly, a love letter to Palm Springs and an invitation for everyone who visits to feel like they belong here, too. 💜
Cast as the original Miss B. Guided™, Drag & Fly’s high-heeled “tour guide-ess,” Rosemary Galore is our Patron Saint of Precision. A former Royal Caribbean performer and award-winning choreographer, Rosemary brings “professionalism” to the party with every perfectly timed hair flip. Named Diva of the Year by GED Magazine, she has become one of the desert’s most recognizable drag performers.
From hosting the legendary I Heart Drag Brunch to producing shows at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, Rosemary’s résumé is as long as her legs. She has been featured in National Geographic and Palm Springs Life, bringing Old Hollywood glamour, razor-sharp wit and impeccable timing to everything she does. At Drag & Fly, Rosemary brings the polish, the poise and, naturally, the Galore.
Danity Zann may have stepped into drag in 2017, but she’s been captivating audiences since her first theatrical role at age six. Bitten early by the entertainment bug (don’t worry, there’s a pill for that), she went on to train in stage and comedy, with more than 100 productions to her credit. Her mission is simple: make them laugh and make them think.
And about those crowns? Danity won the 14-week West Hollywood competition Dragged Out in 2019, then claimed her second title at Vanity’s Drag Star Challenge: All Stars at One Eleven Bar, right here in the desert. At Drag & Fly, she puts her quick wit and impeccable comic timing to work making Palm Springs history smart, surprising and very, very funny.
Climb aboard our climate-controlled, custom-built mobile stage, where a live drag queen keeps the show rolling from start to finish. Cruise past Frank Sinatra’s Twin Palms Estate, Forever Marilyn and other iconic sights as we bring the Five Eras of Palm Springs to life through history, Hollywood stories, architecture, queer culture and plenty of drag.
